Day 01
Welcome to Amsterdam
Morning: We’ll be met and assisted at Arrivals at Amsterdam Airport. Thereafter we head to our hotel for a brief stop to drop off our luggage. 13:00: Lunch boxes / Lunch at the hotel. 1500 – 16:30: Late Afterenoon: Anne Frank House Tour: Discover the Anne Frank House, a place where students can step into the rooms where Anne Frank and her family lived during World War II. It's an impactful experience, providing a close-up view of where Anne wrote her diary and allowing students to reflect on the challenges her family faced. 17:00 Check-in at the Holiday Inn Express Amsterdam – North Riverside or similar. 17:30 – 18:00 After Check-ins, we take you on a walking tour of Amsterdam to experience how the Amsterdam has been trasnsformed into a friendly sustainable city, ending with a boat transfer to the Kitchen & Bar Van Rijn for 2 tastings.. 19:00 – 21:00 Dinner at the Bar Van Rign. Overnight Amsterdam.
Day 02
Amsterdam & Innovations
Have a hearty breakfast at the hotel. 10:00 – 12:30 After breakfast, we’ll head to the Start Up Village for a full day of activities. - Hello & welcome drinks and snacks (part of the package). - Introduction & Valorisation Tour of the Start Up Village & Amsterdam Science Park. - 1 presentaation from a start up or a valorisation lead matching student interests. 12:30 – 14:30 Lunch and free time. 14:30 – 17:00 Continuation of tour. Welcome back with refreshments and a snack. - 1 presentation from a start up or a volarisation lead matching student interests. Options – Panel discussion | Round table | Workshop | Education. 17:30 – 18:30 Head back to the hotel for some free time. 19:00 Dinner at a local restaurant / hotel. Overnight Amsterdam.
Day 03
Amsterdam & Urban Ecology
Breakfast at the hotel. 10:00 – 17:00 De Waag Future Lab project: Students will enjoy a full day program with presentation of how the Urban Ecology Lab researches and creates new perspective on urban development involving living nature. Gain perspective of how the Urban Ecology Lab begins where the built city encounters living nature. We increasingly understand that humans are not separate from nature, but depend on it for our health, well-being and happiness in life. The Urban Ecology Lab explores the future of the city as a living place, where people live together with many other forms of life. The Lab explores how different life forms, materials and socio-ecological systems come together in the city. Through local and small-scale experiments, we contribute to the transformation of our urban jungle into a vibrant ecosystem. Central to it are shared experiences between people and other life forms. We develop methods to (re)recognise the polyphony of an area, and deepen the imagination in order to arrive at new visions for the design of the city. 17:00 Head back to our hotel for rest and free time. 19:00 Dinner at a local restaurant / hotel. Day 04
Guided Tour to TU DELFT Science Centre
Breakfast at the hotel, and check-out. 10:00 – 11:30 Guided Tour to the TU DELFT Science Centre - Discover Science! TU Delft Science Centre organizes a wide range of activities throughout the year, including workshops, lectures, exhibitions, tours and special events. These activities are designed to engage visitors of all ages and backgrounds and inspire them to further explore the world of science and technology. 12:00 – 13:00 Packed Lunch & free time. 13:30 – 15:00 Guided Tour Museum Prinsenhof Delft. Tour choices” - Prinsenhof highlights: Discover the masterpieces in our collection. - William of Orange & the Rebellion: The exciting life of William of Orange, including the war and his murder. - Delfts Blue: Discover the history of Delfts porcelain, from imitation to globally recognized icon. - Delftse Masters. In arts and science: Learn more about key objects and stories from the 17th century in the fields of science, art, medicine and entrepeneurship. 15:00 – 16:00 Free time to explore DELFT. 17:00 – 18:00 We travel to Rotterdam & check-in to the hotel in Rotterdam. 19:00 Dinner at a local restaurant / hotel. Overnight in Rotterdam.
Day 05
Future of mobility in Rotterdam
Breakfast at the hotel. 10:00 – 17:00 Guided Full Day Tour at Future Mobility Park: - Tour of Future Mobility Park. - Future Mobility workshops. 13:00 Lunch at venue. - Future Mobility Group challenge. 17:00 – 19:00 Head back to our hotel for rest and free time. 19:30 – 21:00 Dinner at a local restaurant / hotel. Overnight Rotterdam.
Day 06
Eindhoven
Breakfast at the hotel. 10:00 – 13:00 De Ontdekfabriek Visit: Build a city of the future: Together with all students, we are building one big city of the future. After being inspired by a short film, students come up with ideas by making (design-based learning). They use various 'workshops' at De Discoverfabriek for this purpose: - Die-cutting machine and material for cardboard construction. - Scrap corner for recycled building materials. - Wood workshop for lighting. 13:00 – 14:00 Lunch 14:30 – 16:00 Phillips Museum: Visit the museum with an enthusiastic guide and have all your questions answered. Together with one of our Philips experts, you will learn stories about more than 130 years of Philips' innovations. You will actively engage in assignments, with the guide accompanying the group and taking them on a journey of discovery. 45 minutes interactive guided tour + 45 minutes self-guided exploration of the museum. 16:30 – 18:00 We head back to the hotel for some some free time. 19:30 – 21:00 Dinner at a local restaurant / hotel. Overnight Rotterdam.
Day 07
Check-out & Departures home
Breakfast at the hotel. Free time for some last minute shopping. Head to the aiport for departures (with an option for lunch box for later departures).
