Welcome to Kenya! Arrival Nairobi
Our journey commences with the arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, where our adventure unfolds. A warm meet and greet set the tone for an immersive experience. Embark on a private transfer to our hotel, a sanctuary of comfort amid the bustling energy of Nairobi. As the day transitions into the evening, delve into a unique educational experience at the Giraffe Centre. Witness the graceful Rothschild giraffe in their natural habitat, gaining insights from an elevated viewing-cum-feeding platform. This encounter serves as an enriching lesson in wildlife sustainability efforts. We continue our exploration at the Kazuri Beads factory, a haven for top-quality handmade and hand-painted ceramic jewelry and pottery. Beyond the artistry, understand the workshop's profound impact on empowering women through employment and skill development. Retreat to our hotel for a delightful dinner and an overnight stay, reflecting on the day's educational highlights in the heart of Nairobi. Day 02
Nairobi – Taita Hills
Rise to an early morning breakfast, marking the start of an exhilarating day. Embark on a private transfer to the train station for the Madaraka Express train, where the anticipation of a rail journey awaits. Depart at 08:20hrs and relish the picturesque landscapes until you arrive at Voi Station by 12:25hrs. Upon arrival, a warm welcome by the lodge's dedicated transportation awaits, ushering you to Taita Hills Safari Lodge. After a satisfying lunch, venture into the lodge's in-house Artefacts Museum. Immerse yourself in a captivating display of articles from World War 1, setting the stage for a unique insight into Taita Taveta's historical role. Join a brief talk that unravels the region's contribution during this significant period. The day continues with an afternoon game drive in the sanctuary, unveiling the wonders of the local wildlife. As daylight fades, leisure time allows you to enjoy game viewing from the comfort of the lodge balcony. Day 03
Taita Hills Sanctuary
Awaken to the serenity of dawn, greeted by a steaming cup of tea or coffee as you prepare for an early morning game drive. Depart before breakfast, immersing yourself in the enchanting wildlife awakening with the new day. Witness the vibrant colors of the sunrise painting the Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary, capturing animals in their natural splendor before the heat of the day takes hold. Post-breakfast, engage in a meaningful ecological initiative as students receive a tree to plant in the sanctuary. Guided by our team at the reforestation site, this hands-on experience fosters a connection to our environment, In return, students gain an e-certificate, regular updates on their tree's growth, and an annual estimate of the carbon offset achieved—a tangible reminder of their contribution to sustainability. We continue our educational journey with a Nature walk led by a local wildlife expert. Delve deeper into the intricacies of the local environment and ecosystem, gaining valuable insights into the delicate balance of nature. After a nourishing lunch, embark on an afternoon game drive, capturing the sanctuary's essence during different phases of the day. As the sun sets, return to the comfort of Taita Hills Safari Resort & Spa for an overnight stay on a Full Board Basis. Day 04
Chawia Farm - Primary School Visit

We will spend our morning learning and actively participating in the farming practices at Chawia Farm, cultivating bananas, kale, tomatoes, and an array of cash and food crops. This hands-on experience provides valuable insights into the agricultural heartbeat of the region, connecting you with the essential sustenance of the local community. Later, our journey takes us to a local Primary School, creating meaningful cross-cultural connections. Meet with students and teachers, spending time engaging in playful activities and mutual learning. Return to the lodge after this enriching experience, and after a nourishing lunch, set out for an afternoon game drive in the sanctuary. As the sun begins its descent, capture the sanctuary's wildlife in the soft hues of twilight before returning to the comfort of Taita Hills Safari Resort & Spa for an overnight stay on a full board basis. Day 4 promises a blend of agricultural immersion, cross-cultural exchange, and continued wildlife exploration.
Day 05
Taita Hill – Mombasa (Departure)
On the final day of our exploration, relish a leisurely morning after breakfast, indulging in game viewing from the lodge balcony. This tranquil start allows for reflection on the captivating experiences gathered during your stay at this beautiful Safari Resort. As the morning unfolds, we bid farewell and depart with a picnic lunch for Voi Station, where the Madaraka Express train awaits. Embark on a rail journey to Mombasa, departing at 12:00hrs and arriving at 14:00hrs. The scenic route offers a last glimpse of Kenya's diverse landscapes. Upon arrival in Mombasa, a private transfer awaits to escort you to Moi Airport, ensuring a seamless connection to your onwards flight.
