Overview
The Bear Grylls Explorers Camp is located on Jebel Jais in Ras Al Khaimah, within the spectacular Hajjar mountains. Absolute Adventure set up the camp, created all climbing, abseiling and trekking routes, purchased the equipment, trained staff and fully operated the venue during its launch year.
The camp activities are all on-site, or within walking distance, so they require no transfer time. Activities include rock climbing, abseiling, high ropes course, trekking, survival, via ferrata, archery & orienteering. The world’s longest zipline and the mountain sledder are available at additional cost.
The camp has a relaxed atmosphere with single sex chalets and a fire pit. Students sleep on bunkbeds; all rooms have a/c, power outlets and lights. All food is prepared in a professional kitchen and served under the shaded dining terrace at camp. There are ample male and female toilets and showers with hot water.
There are enough beds to sleep over 80 students and plenty of room around the camp to not feel crowded. Accommodation is divided into single sex areas with teachers using twin en-suite cabins.
